Struggling With Positive Thinking?
Would you love to benefit from positive thinking but, after trying like crazy, you are convinced it is not something for you?
Do you wonder why some people seem to have learned how to attract luck, success and any sort of nice things with the power of their mind, while for you just trying to become a bit more optimistic is such a pain? Do you find it unbelievable that we can choose what we think?
Well, first, relax: you are not the only one.
Second: studying positivity theories may simply not be the right approach for you.
While there are people who like abstract concepts and philosophies and find it easy to embrace them, many other people definitely prefer practical ideas. In no way one of the two types of personality is better: simply - and luckily! - we are all different.
For some people it may be a real nightmare when they have to do something that requires a practical mind. On the other hand, many others may even find intangible theories fascinating, but to get them they need to translate ideas and principles into something they can touch and see.
If you belong to this second group, a great help to become happier and start attracting lots of GOOD into your life is probably starting with basic well-being exercises .
Instead of wondering how you can change your pessimistic attitude and become somebody new, just focus on feeling good in your everyday life. Concentrate at first on little concrete things. Feel the power of positive thinking.
For instance, every day make a little time do something that makes you feel really fine and gives you pleasant sensations. You don't need to do anything amazing, just do what YOU like. Even reading your favorite author or having a walk in your favorite park can make you feel well. Treat yourself better. Cuddle yourself a bit. This way, you will have many nice moments to focus on.
Then, work on those good feelings as much as you can. To retain them in your mind longer, and to be able to recall them, play with them: transform sensations into images, sounds, smells...
When you are feeling bad, focusing on this pleasant work will help you to clear away the negative thoughts. To facilitate this, create little tangible anchors that get you back to the good time you had: a fallen leaf picked up during your walk, a sheet with a sentence you particularly loved in that book...
Your aim should be to create a proper "daily positivity routine" that allows you to be in a good mood most of your time.
Getting on the right track to happiness will be smoother and faster than you think.
